The Life of KENNETH M SCHARTNER
Kenneth M. Schartner, 54, of 2653 Guthrie Ave., a lifelong resident of Des Moines, died of a heart attack early Wednesday at his home.
Mr. Schartner had been employed as a mailer in the mailroom of The Des Moines Register and Tribune since 1944. He was a member of Highland Park Evangelical Free Church.
Surviving are his wife, Nadine, a daughter, Janice, and a son, Mark, both at home; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Stroud and Mrs. Ruth Cronin, and a brother, Gerald, all of Des Moines.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Highland Park Evangelical Free Church with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
