The Life of LESTER LEROY KELLOGG

Lester LeRoy Kellogg, 77, of 1821 Grand Ave. West Des Moines, died of cancer Sunday at Hospice Kavanagh House.  The body will be cremated and memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Southtown Funeral Home.

Mr. Kellogg was born in Mitchellville and lived in Des Moines most of his life.  He was a retired police officer with the city of Des Moines, a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War and was a member of the Iowa Association of Chiefs of Police.

Survivors include two daughters, Janet Noble and Pat Larson, both of Des Moines; a brother, Raymond of Cumming; a sister, Ruth Mead of Indianola; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
