The Life of HELEN M SHEPARD
Helen M Shepard, 97 of Parkridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Pleasant Hill died of pneumonia Thursday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Shepard had lived in Des Moines most of her life before moving to Pleasant Hill more than a year ago. She was a homemaker and had enjoyed needlework.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Johnson of Des Moines; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
