The Life of BRENT G PRANGE
Brent G. Prange, 60, of the 1100 block of Northwest 67th Place died of cancer Wednesday at Mercy Hospice - Johnston. Cremation will follow the visitation. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Ankeny, of which he was a member. Burial of the cremains will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Prange was born in Waverly and had lived in Des Moines since 1980. He was a retired counselor with Saydel High School and a member of the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association, the Upper Iowa Hall of Fame and the Allison-Bristow Hall of Fame. He had served as president of the Saylorville Officials Association and enjoyed baseball and officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Jane; a son, Bill of Des Moines; a daughter, Kris Ann Ropa of Cedar Rapids; a stepson, Brian Dixson of Urbandale; two stepdaughters, Robin Steinkamp and Christy Hemry, both of Des Moines; four grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to his church. Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
