The Life of PEARL MCCOLLUM
Services for Pearl McCollum, 64, of 2508 Williams St will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. McCollum died of a liver ailment Thursday at Mercy Hospital after and eight-month illness.
Born in Cincinati, IA, he lived in Centerville before moving to Des Moines 38 years ago. He had been an elevator operator at Iowa Packing Co. from 1937 until his retirement last June.
Surviving are his widow, Laura; two daughters, Mrs. Marcene Lynch and Mary McCollum, and a son, Dean, all of Des Moines, and seven grandchildren.
