The Life of HAROLD D LAFARY
Harold Dale LaFary, 80, of 1731 E. 21st St. died of a heart ailment Monday at home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Assembly of God, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. LaFary was born in Herndon and lived in Des Moines all his life. He had been an engineer for the state and Solar Aircraft and was a substitute teacher at Des Moines Area Community College. He was a member of the Iowa State Police Auxiliary.
Surviving are his wife, Betty; three sons, Dale, Michael and Roger, and a daughter, Lelia Heck, all of Des Moines; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 6 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to his church or Hospice of Central Iowa.
