The Life of BILLY M WOODYARD

Services for Billy F. Woodyard, 61, of 3916 Third St., who died of a heart attack Friday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Highland Park Open Bible Church.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. 

 

Mr. Woodyard was born in Hannibal, MO, and lived in Des Moines most of his life.  He was employed in the maintenance division of the Firestone Tire and Rubber Co.  He was a member of Highland Park Open Bible Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and North High School Bookster Club.  He served in the Coast Guard during World War II.

 

Survivors include his wife, Lucille; five sons, Stephen of Altoona, David and James, both of Des Moines, Michael of Minneapolis, MN, and William of Chicago, IL; a daughter, Rebecca Hopervell of Hartford, Conn.; and 10 grandchildren.

The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to the Highland Park Church of the Open Bible.

Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.  The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. today.
