The Life of LELAND L HILL
Leland L. Hill, 48, of the 900 block of East 11th street died of lung cancer Saturday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Hill had lived in Des Moines all of his life. He had worked as a foreman at G&H Asphalt Corp.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; two sons, Jeremy Storm and Leland Hill, Jr., both of Des Moines; two daughters, Laurie Purk of Altoona and Michelle Hill of Carlisle; his father, Orville Hill of Des Moines; eight brothers, Mike, Randy, Gene, Ronnie, Dennis, Greg and Mark, all of Des Moines, and Robert of Altoona; six sisters, Becky Palmer of Fort Dodge, Linda Hernandez of Pleasant Hill, Brenda Johnston of Naples, FL, and Carolyn Gallagher, Peggy Houghman and Patty Inman, all of Des Moines; and five grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
