The Life of ROSE EVELYN BERG
Rose Evelyn Berg, 82, died Wednesday, January 28, 2004. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, February 5 at Hamilton''s Funeral Home on Lyon Street, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Rose was born August 19, 1921 in Des Moines,Iowa and graduated from North High School. She was a member of Grace Wesleyan Church and a Sunday school teacher for 30 years. Rose and Frank spent two winters in Calfornia and 16 winters in Rio Grand Valley, TX. She was a loving spouse and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Frank; daughter, Rosemary (John) Glenney; granddaughter, Marjorie (Richard) Weller; grandsons, Robert (Stephanie) Oak and Mike (Cindy) Oak; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Amber Weller, Elizabeth and Megan Oak and Michael Taylor; and sisters, Ruby Yoder and Florence Allen. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sons, Frank Leo and Arnold Lee; stepbrother, Max Ball and stepsister, Dorothy Phillips.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice or Pythian Avenue Baptist Church.
