The Life of DEWEY GLIDEWELL
Services for Dewey Glidewell, 84, of 1529 York St. will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Glidewell died Wednesday of cancer at Mercy Hospital Medical Center.
Mr. Glidewell was born in Van Cleve and lived in Des Moines more than 40 years. He was a foreman for Northwestern Bell until he retired in 1964. He was a member of Bell Pioneers and the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; two daughters, Doris Sanborn of Menlo and Lois Terrell of Littleton, CO; a son, Thomas of Emporia, KS; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Bell Telephone Pioneers Memorial Fund.
