The Life of WALTER VINCENT TAYLOR

Walter "Otis" Taylor, 55, of 713 NW Logan St., Ankeny, died of a stroke Sunday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.  Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ankeny Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Taylor was born in Ottumwa and lived in Ankeny for 12 years.  He retired in 1986 from John Deere and Co.

Survivors include his wife, J. Eydie Blessing-Taylor; two sons, D.J. of Colorado Springs, CO, and Billie of Ankeny; two daughters, Lesa Taylor and Kelly Taylor, both of Des Moines, a stepson, Joe Graham of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two stepdaughters, Tina Akridge of Houston, TX and Rikki Blessing of Ankeny; his mother, Ella Taylor, and a brother, Billy, both of Ankeny; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where a scripture wake service will be read at 7 p.m.
