The Life of DELORES IRENE RICHARDSON
Delores "Dee" Richardson, 72, died Sunday, July 9, 2006 at CLC Altoona from complications of diabetes. Per her wishes, she will be cremated and private services will be at a later date.
Dee was born September 14, 1933, the daughter of Virgil and Florence Richardson in Winchester, KY. Dee worked as a secretary and had lived in the Des Moines area the last 20 years. She loved her family and horses. Dee was a wonderful cook and enjoyed traveling, especially to the ocean, and the Kentucky Derby.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Dee is survived by her children: Theresa Smith (Dick) of Des Moines, Kevin Wallace (Karen) of Florida, Dale Brisbay (Marisa) of Sadieville, KY and Steve Brisbay (Dolly) of Plano, TX; grandchildren: Lisa Wilson (John Annis), Jenny West (Jim), Heather Bucklin (Aaron), Aaron Smith, Autumn (Rob) Green, Kyle Wallace (Kendra), and Stephanie Brisbay; great grandchildren: Ty and Mackenzi Annis, Katie West, Briar and Sami Bucklin, Trinity and Tristin Green; and sister Imogene Skelton of Florida.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or to the family in care of Grandview Park Funeral Home.
