The Life of HEWITT G SEPTER
Hewitt G. "Sep" Septer, 78, of Ottumwa died Sunday of a heart ailment at Veterans Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Des Moines, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery here.
Mr. Septer was born in Chicago and had lived in Des Moines until moving to Ottumwa 10 years ago. He was the retired owner of Ottumwa Sewing Center, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion and Masonic Lodge, both in Ottumwa. He enjoyed work and golfing.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen; a daughter, Cherie Simons of Ankeny; two sons, Jim of Kansas City, MO, and David of Hills. six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from noon until the time of services today at the funeral home.
