The Life of DAVID W HARTMAN

Services for David W. Hartman, 72, of 3623 Fourth St., who died of cancer and pneumonia Thursday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Hartman was a lifelong resident of Des Moines.  He retired in 1978 as a stationary engineer for the city of Des Moines.

Survivors include his wife, Florence; three sons, Wayne of Tacoma, WA, Ronald of Colorado, and Dale of San Diego, CA; five daughters, Delores Summy, Nancy Baker and Darlene McIntosh, all of Des Moines, Sally Newton of Bondurant and Diane Lockwood of Tacoma, WA; a stepdaughter, JoAnn Theisen of Madrid; three brothers, James of Grimes, Ralph of Des Moines and Fred of Atascadero, CA; eight sisters, Leona Welch, Alice Anderson, Margaret Carlson, Doris Cherry and Ruth Gookin, all of Des Moines, Nellie Banks of Sublimity, OR, Vera Husted of South Gate, CA, and Annie Lampe of Sacramento, CA; and 20 grandchildren.

Friends may call at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
