The Life of ROY CLIFFORD SWANSON

Roy Clifford Swanson, 90, of the 3000 block of Columbia Street died of a heart ailment Monday at Iowa Luthean Hospital.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton's Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Swanson had lived in Des Moines all his life.  He was a retired salesman with Phillips Petroleum Co. and a member of First Lutehran Chruch and Pioneer Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Veta; two sons, C. Lynn of Newton and David of Ankeny; two daughters, Marcia O'Neal of Willard, MO, and Susan Fleming of Des Moines; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Pastoral Care Endowent Fund for Iowa Lutheran Hospital.
