The Life of FRED M PARKS
Fred M. Parks, 78, as a devoted Christian, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, January 2, 2004 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Fred was born February 23, 1925 in Des Moines. He worked in the Maintenance Department for the State of Iowa Department of Transportation and served in WWII in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Madge Parks of Des Moines; son, Bill Parks and his wife, Marilyn of Adel; three grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
