The Life of WILLIAM E RASMUSSEN
William E Rasmussen, 88, of 3913 Sixth Ave. died of a heart attack Friday at Luther Park Health Care Center, 1555 Hull Ave. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Highland Park Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Rasmussen was born in Audubon County and had lived in Des Moines since 1937. He was a retired plumber with Pitman Plumbing and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Arthella; a brother, Wayne of Exira; three sisters, Ethel Wheeler and Anna Hinkle, both of Exira, and Frances Pritchard of Rockwell City.
Friends may call after noon Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 3 to 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Luther Park Health Care Center.
