The Life of VERA M DUFFIELD
Vera Duffield, 96, of Altoona, died Saturday, March 12, 2005 at the Mitchell Village Care Center in Metchellville. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens.
Vera was a homemaker and a member of the Altoona United Methodist Church, Friendly Circle, Eastern Star, Altoona Senior Golden Agers and the RSVP Volunteer Group. She also served as Justice of the Peace for Polk County.
Vera is survived by her daughters, Emily (Jerry) Ehler of Kellogg and Laura (Robert) Biegger of Altoona; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Emily Redshaw; her husband, Gordon Duffield; brothers, John, Buck, Joseph and Sydney, and sister, Dorothy Sellards.
Visitation will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church in Altoona.
