The Life of GORDON BENNETT DUFFIELD
Services for Gordon B. Duffield, 66, of Altoona, will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Duffield died of a heart attack Saturday at Des Moines General Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Garden Grove, Mr. Duffield lived in Des Moines for 30 years before moving to Altoona 26 years ago. He was a retired maintenance worker for the Armstrong Tire and Rubber Co. and was a World War II veteran. He was a member of the King David Masonic Lodge, the Altoona Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Altoona United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Vera; two daughters, Mrs. Emily Ehler of Kellogg and Mrs. Laura Biegger of Altoona; two sisters, Mrs. Deva J. Countryman of Des Moines and Mrs. Grace Scheaffer of Collegedale, TN, and four grandchildren.
