The Life of JON ALLEN BALLARD
Jon A. Ballard, 40, of Chicago died of a liver disease Friday at St. Joseph''s Hospital there. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ankeny United Church of Christ, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Ballard was born in Des Moines and had lived in Chicago since 1979. He was a clinical research assistant with Abbott Labs in Chicago.
Among survivors are his parents, Gerald and Marie Ballard of Ankeny; a brother, Tom of Great Falls, VA; a sister, Karen Avey of Lubbock, TX; and his grandmother, Verne Howard of Ankeny.
Memorial contributions may be made to the General Scholarship Fund at the University of Iowa. Arrangements are being handled by Ankeny Funeral Home.
