The Life of CHARLES HARDING DAVIDSON

Charles Harding Davidson, 79, of the 6600 block of Northwest 10th Street died of a heart ailment Friday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.  Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Davidson was born near Ankeny and had lived in Des Moines most of his life.  He was a retired superintendent of construction with Neuman Brothers and a Navy veteran of World War II.  He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Carpenters Union.  He enjoyed gardening and playing a dice game called Zilch.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen; two sons, Bill of Des Moines and Tom of Ankeny; a daughter, Jean Thomas of West Union; two brothers, James of Ankeny and Robert of Des Moines; two sisters, Lucille Wheeler of Saylorville Township and Maryllin  Tollenaar of Ankeny; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to7 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans.>>
