The Life of DAVID J PATTERSON
David J. Patterson, 77, of Heather Manor, 600 E Fifth St., died of Parkinson''s disease Sunday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home and burial will be at Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Patterson was born in Letterkenney, Ireland, and had lived in Des Moines for the past 39 years. He had been employed by Blue Cross and Blue Shield Insurance Co. until his retirement in 1974. He was a member of St. John''s Lutheran Church and the Piatt Masonic Lodge No. 194 in New York.
Survivors include his wife, June E.; two daughters, Patricia J. Mankunas of Morton Grove, IL., and Sheila P. Hartung of Des Moines; a brother, Harry of Letterkenney, Ireland; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
