The Life of ROBERT A MACMANUS
Robert A. MacManus, 66, died on Thursday, December 30, 2004. Services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2005 at Hamilton''s Funeral Home.
Robert worked as a Municipal Court Baliff and served as Chief of Civil Division under Sheriff Bob Rice with the Polk County Sheriff''s Department. He was last employed as a Deputy Sheriff. Following his work as a Sheriff, he owned and oeprated the Melrose Bar & Grill until he retired.
He is survived by his daughters, Debby (Dave) Light, Mary (Marty) Sellers, Sherry (Jim) Randolph, Bobette (Kevin) Anderson, Vicki Bennett, Robin (Shane) Ballinger, Jonette (Sonny) Burriola; brother, Gary (Judy) MacManus; 22 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hamilton''s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St., Des Moines, IA 50309.
