The Life of ROBERT TILSON EVANS
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery for Robert T. Evans, 95, of the Commonwealth Care Center at 5608 SW Ninth St. Mr. Evans died of a heart ailment Sunday at Des Moines General Hospital.
Mr. Evans spent his childhood in Delphos, but lived in Des Moines most of his life. He worked as a pile driver engineer for the Rock Island Railroad. He was an Army veteran of World War I and was a member of Highland Park Congregation of Jehovah''s Witnesses.
Surviving are his wife, Merle; a son, Robert A of Des Moines, and a granddaughter.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangement are being handled by Hamilton''s Funeral Home.
