The Life of HAZEL LUSCOMBE LOWERY

Hazel Luscombe Lowery, 89, of Ramsey Home died of a heart ailment there Monday. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Westover Funeral Home. Cremation will follow visitation. Burial of the cremains will be at Highland memory Gardens Cemetery following services. Born in Ida Grove, Mrs. Lowery had lived in Madison County as a youth. She had lived in Des Moines for more than 60 years. She was a retired salesclerk with Younkers and a member of Windsor Presbyterian Church. Survivors include three daughters, Darlene Greene and Jean Chapman, both of Des Moines, and Mary Dannen of Tekamah, NE; a sister, Mabel Bane of West Des Moines; a brother, Charles Luscombe of Plymoth Meeting, PA; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Ramsey Home or Animal Rescue League.
