The Life of LAURA A GOODWIN
Laura Goodwin, 90, died Sunday, February 6, 2005 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens.
Laura was born Augutst 26, 1914 in Cass County, IA. She worked for Bakers Shoe Store as well as Look Magazine and Meredith Corp.
She attended Berean Assembly of God where she volunteered whenever possible. She also volunteered her time at Living History Farms. She was very clever and witty. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and flower gardening. Laura and her husband Glenn traveled extensively.
Laura is survived by her daughter, Diane (Merle) Rogers of Des Moines, IA; son, Gary Goodwin of Elkhorn, NE; Keith (Carol) Goodwin of Clive, IA; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; daughter-in-law, Judy; and her grandson, Rodney.
Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
