The Life of Andrew Saja

SAJA- Andrew Jason Saja, age 27, of Shelton, died suddenly at Griffin Hospital on July 14, 2011. Born in New Haven on January 16, 1984, he was the beloved son of Walter and Nancy Sosenko Saja of Shelton. Andy was a resident of Oxford and resided in Shelton for 9 years. He was a 2002 graduate of Holy Cross High School, Waterbury and attended Naugatuck Valley and Housatonic Community Colleges. He was currently employed as an Electrician's Apprentice with the Virzi Electric Co. of Ansonia and was a member of Woodland Church of Christ, Oxford. Andy was an avid music enthusiast and accomplished keyboardist and dancer. Together with his father on guitar, they'd jam at family gatherings and various events. He'd often enjoy motorcycle cruises on the back of his father's bike. He will be long remembered for his smile, charm and warm personality that endeared many to him. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother and his inseparable best friend, Michael A. Saja and his wife Cheryl of Oxford; his maternal grandfather, John Sosenko of Shelton; cherished niece and nephew, Taylor and Dakota Saja of Oxford; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Helen Sholtys Sosenko and paternal grandparents, Walter and Gladys Ballog Saja. Funeral services are private. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Assoc., 5 Brookside Dr., Wallingford, CT 06492. The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia is in care of arrangements.
