The Life of GUERINO CALOIERO

photoGuerino Caloiero, 84, died February 8, 2021 in his Laureldale Borough residence. He was married January 2, 1961 to Margherita (Cuda) Caloiero, who passed away May 4, 2011. Guerino was born June 23, 1936 in Calabria, Italy, he was a son of the late Giuseppe and Angelina (Brutto) Caloiero. He was a carpenter by trade in Italy. When he came to the United States, he worked in maintenance and landscaping until his retirement. Guerino is survived by four children: Giuseppe, husband of Norma Caloiero of Leesport; Mario, husband of Deborah Caloiero of Temple; Salvatore, husband of Marianthi Caloiero of Lower Heidelberg Township; and Emiliano Caloiero of Laureldale. He was affectionately known as “Nonno” to nine grandchildren: Massimo, Giuliano, Alexandria, Mario, Biaggio, Dante, Guerino, Anna, and Felicia and one great granddaughter, Lilliana Caloiero. Other survivors include two siblings: Fiorino Caloiero of Australia and Titina Grande of Italy. Guerino was predeceased by his two siblings: Salvatore and Mario Caloiero. Family and friends are invited to a viewing Monday, February 15th from 10:00 – 11:00 AM in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Hyde Park. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 AM Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, Muhlenberg Township. Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements. The Mass will be live streamed from Guerino’s obituary on the funeral home website.
