The Life of CATHERINE G COLDREN

Catherine G. Coldren (Guidara), age 91, of Mechanicsburg formerly of Reading, passed away on May 25, 2023 at home with her family by her side. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of late Michael and Anna Mae Guidara and was the loving wife of 60 years to Paul R. Coldren until his passing in 2015.

A graduate of Reading Central Catholic High School, Catherine worked for Pomeroy’s housewares department and CNA Insurance Company.

She enjoyed celebrating many occasions dancing at Green Valley Country Club, playing cards with family, traveling with her husband and watching the new release HBO Saturday night movies. She was also a member of Saint Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Catherine will be missed by her sons; Terence Coldren, husband of Valerie of Mechanicsburg, Steven Coldren, husband of Crystale of New Cumberland, and Jeffrey Coldren, husband of Stephen Hope of Gainesville, FL. Also surviving are a sister; Mary Lou Faller, grandchildren; Jonathan Coldren, husband of Stacey, Joshua Coldren, husband of Morgan, Christina Stong , wife of Joseph, and Victoria Coldren, 10 great-grandchildren, nephews; Robert Guidara, husband of Taymy, Paul Faller, partner of Lanne, Pete Faller, husband of Monica, and many loved Van Luvender, Guidara, and Coldren family members. She was preceded in death by a brother; Frank Guidara, a sister; Carmela Guidara, and a nephew; Michael Guidara.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 11 AM at the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Rd, Reading, PA 19605. A visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
