The Life of MORRIS PIETROBONE SR

Marianno "Morris" Pietrobone Sr., 87, of

Reading, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. He was the loving husband of the late Jean D. (Morenzy) Pietrobone. Sadly, Jean passed away in 2000.

Born in Reading on November 7, 1929, Morris was a son of the late Giuseppe "Joe" and Concetta (Varraechione) Pietrobone. Morris was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He served in the US Army during the Korean War.

Morris was the owner and operator of the Pietrobone Brothers grocery store on 2nd St. and Franklin St. until 1972. He also worked with Two Guys grocer on Lancaster Pike and Stroehmann (Maier's) Bakery LLC. He also worked part time at Victor Emmanuel II and Calabria Products.

He was a lifelong member of the Beneficial Society Victor Emmanuel II and was a huge Yankees fan! Morris was an amazing father and grandfather. He was known as a family man.

Surviving are three children: Theresa A. (Pietrobone) Dissinger, and her husband, Robert L., of Robesonia,

Morris Pietrobone Jr., of Baltimore, Md., and Patricia A. (Pietrobone) Racine, wife of the late Darryl G.; two

grandchildren, that Morris raised, Joseph V. Ferrante, of Shoemakersville, and Erika M. Ferrante, and her

companion, James A. Hummel, of Mt. Penn; seven

grandchildren: Brittany E. Pietrobone, of Baltimore, Md.,

Amanda J. Newkirk, of Athens, Tenn., Eric M. Pietrobone, and his wife, Stacey, of Baltimore, Md., Alexander J. Dissinger, and his wife, Katelyn J., of Kingfisher, Okla., Sam Dissinger, of Robesonia, Lauren E. Racine, of Reading, and Christian M. Racine, of Reading; and 13 great

grandchildren: Giovanni, Camren, Connor, Bella, Autumn, Bryan, Sophie, Logan, Anastasya, Tinderly, Orianna, Enzimoe and Noah.

Morris is predeceased by six brothers: James "Jimmy," John "Johnny," Alfred "Funzy," Anthony "Tony," and

infant twin boys; and two sisters, Angeline "Angie" and

Mamie.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel St. George in

Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Rd., Reading, PA 19605. A public viewing with be Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601. A second viewing will be held in the funeral home on Monday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Morris will be entombed in the Mausoleum at

Gethsemane Cemetery.
