The Life of MARY T CAMMARANO


Mary Theresa (Burns) Cammarano, 93, of Wyomissing, died July 19, 2017, in the Reading Hospital.

Her husband, Joseph Mauro Cammarano Sr., died January 3, 2005. They married on August 23, 1947.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late James F. and Mae (Gelsinger) Burns.

She was a 1941 graduate of Reading Catholic High School.

Mary was a devout member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

She was a longtime member of St Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Reading where she was an active member of the Mother's Club.

Mary was a homemaker who was dedicated to her family; one of the best gifts she gave her children was staying at home to raise them. She was a proud full-time mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by eight children: Michael J. (Debra A.), Sinking Spring, Mauro D. ( Angel P.), Dolores J. Turley (James R.), all of Wyomissing, Joseph M. Jr. (Denise M.), Reading, Dennis J. ( Barbara A.), Wyomissing, Dominick J. (Charles DiNino), Reading, Mary T. Farrelly (Joseph P.), Sinking Spring, and James A., Muhlenberg Township. One niece, Donna Partridge (Kenneth), Wyomissing; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren also survive her.

Mary was predeceased by two siblings: Robert J. Burns and Regina Robinson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, 2810 St. Alban's Dr., Sinking Spring. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading
