The Life of GEORGE J. TARNOSKI

George John Tarnoski, 90, was born in Reading, PA on October 7, 1931, to the late Peter and Julie (Pieja) Tarnoski. He graduated from Reading Catholic High School where he excelled in both basketball and baseball. George was especially proud of the perfect baseball game he pitched against Malvern Prep at Schlegel Park during his junior year. George served his country during the Korean Conflict during 1953-54 in the US Army's 76th Engineer Construction Battalion attached to the 45th Infantry Division. He was employed by Bethlehem Steel for 21 years at their Grace Mine in Morgantown and at the company's coke works in Bethlehem. After retiring from Bethlehem Steel, George worked another 18 years at St. Joseph's Villa in their maintenance department. In 1956, George met the love of his life Sarah Pietrantonio at the Spartico Club in Reading, PA. They were married on June 1, 1957, and celebrated 64 years together. In addition to his wife, George is survived by his son Charles, his wife Elizabeth, and grandchildren, Lauren and Nicholas. Also surviving is his brother Robert Tarnoski and sister-in-law Lori Tarnoski. He was predeceased by his son, Jeffrey, daughter, Rosemarie, and brothers: Richard, Edward and Franklin. The family would like to thank the staff of ManorCare and Heartland Hospice for the excellent care they provided to George. The funeral is private and at the convenience of the family. Edward J.
