The Life of ELIZABETH L. FERRERI

Elizabeth “Betty” Louise Ferreri (née Loeper), 86, of Exeter Township, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, November 11, 2021, at the Berkshire Center where she had been a resident for 3 years. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Leo Loeper and Cecilia Loeper (née Gieringer). She was the loving wife of John A. Ferreri to whom she was married for 65 years. Smith IV, West Lawn, PA; grandsons Dr. Joseph A. Lesko, partner of Christine M. McKeever, Exton, PA and Andrew J. Lesko, Arlington, VA. Betty is also survived by younger brothers Gerald Loeper, husband of Sylvia, Wyomissing, PA and Leo Loeper, husband of Joann, Reading, PA. She was a graduate of Reading Central Catholic High School and longtime member of Saint Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. Following early work experiences at Carpenter Technology, the original Boscov’s Department Store, and Tom Masano Motors, she was employed for many years at Metropolitan Edison/GPU as a payroll clerk before her retirement. During her retirement, she volunteered at KidsPeace of Temple, PA. She loved to travel but loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends. Many would remark on Betty’s extraordinarily sweet and kind nature. Of her many gifts, this is perhaps her most memorable. The family is grateful for the compassionate staff at the Berkshire Center and for the excellent care they gave to Betty.
