The Life of George W. Kendall

George W. Kendell, 65, the retired supervisor of the former William S. Fritz Funeral Home, Kutztown, died Thursday afternoon at 5:15 in the Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient since January 20.

Kendall of 55 Noble Street, Kutztown, was the nephew of Minnie F. Fritz, former owner of the funeral home, who died Tuesday. He was the husband of Edna F. (Scheidt) Kendall.

Kendall joined the Funeral Home in 1936, graduated from the former Eckles School of Embalming, Philadelphia, in 1938, and became supervisor in 1956. He retired in October after the sale of the funeral home.

An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kutztown.

Born in Reading he was a son of the late William J. and Estella (Haingia) Kendall.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by a daughter, Helen L. Lambert, Lyons: a son, Robert S., of Philadelphia, and a granddaughter. Also a sister, Jean Silk, Langhorne
The Trexler-Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, is in charge of arrangements.
