The Life of MARGARET R. KRIVI

Margaret Rose Krivi, 96, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Reading Hospital.

Born in Reading on February 28, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Konkol) Krivi. After graduating from Reading High School in 1943, she worked for the Price Control Board in Reading. Upon her subsequent graduation from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut with an Associate of Arts degree, Margaret began a long career in claims administration with the Social Security Administration in Baltimore. She retired after 30 years in 1982. After residing in West Lawn, she enjoyed her final years at The Highlands at Wyomissing.

Margaret's interests included crossword puzzles, reading, sewing, photography, travel and spending time with her family and friends.

Margaret is survived by nieces and nephews: Kathleen Schlegel of South Heidelberg, Frederick Brightbill (Deborah) and Dennis Brightbill (Mary) both of Spring Township, Victoria Christensen of Bern Township, Jonathan Brightbill (Linda) of Spring Township, Sonya Phillips of Long Neck, DE, Patricia Bohling (Glenn) of Elizabeth, CO, Peter Brightbill (Susan) of Sanford, NC, and Christopher Brightbill (Kris) of Spring Township.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Krivi Brightbill; and niece, Aimee Brightbill.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 10th, 2023 at 11:30 am in St John Baptist de la Salle RCC. A viewing will be held at the church from11:00 am until the time of Mass. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Laureldale.
