The Life of Elsie Carty Legates
Elsie 'Sis' Legates Gibbstown, N.J. Elsie "Sis" Legates age 84 years of Gibbstown passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. She worked as a seamstress for Pat Richards Co. in Paulsboro and later retired from Wawa. Elsie enjoyed attending Nascar races and weekends at the shore. She is survived by her loving children, Sharon and Bud Zubec of Paulsboro, Steven and Donna Legates of Gibbstown; her grandchildren, Tony, Tara and Brandy; 5 great grandchildren and her brother, Aaron Carty of Florida. She was predeceased by her husband, Willard "Shorty" Legates; her grandson, Johnny Zubec Sr; her parents, Adam and Martha Carty; her brother, George Carty and her sisters, Gertrude and Shirley Carty. The Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM Saturday September 9, 2017 in the McBride - Foley Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Saturday morning after 9 AM until service time. Interment Lakeview Cemetery, Cinnaminson.
