The Life of SOPHIE M BONNANO

Sophie had most recently resided at the B'Nai B'Rith in Reading.

She was predeceased by her husband Paul Bonanno in 2002. Born in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Frances (Lis) Gay.

She was employed for 31 years at Penn Optical, retiring in 1991. Sophie was a life long member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.

She was an avid bowler and found great joy in spending time with her family.

She is survived by three daughters: Jo Ann, wife of Bruce Mitchell, of Mohnton, Kathleen Urban-Fick, wife of Lenny Fick, of Sinking Spring and Marcia Battista of Kenhorst. There is also a sister, Helen Iannucci of Kenhorst, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m . in St. Peter Church, 322 S. 5th St., Reading, PA 19602. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.

Friends may pay their condolences on Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 am in the Gallman-Sonoski Funeral Home, Inc., Reading.
