The Life of JAMES J FELLIN

James “Jim” Joseph Fellin, 93, of Temple passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, September 15, 2022 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. Born on September 6, 1929 in Stockton, PA he was the son of the late Gabriel and Clara (Mundy) Fellin. Jim was the loving husband of the late Maureen (Cammarano) Fellin, together they shared 57 years of marriage. He was a graduate of Hazle Township High School class of 1947 and Penn State University class of 1957. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1950-1954. Jim worked as an Engineer for Bell Laboratories for 32 years before retiring in 1988. He was a devout catholic and a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church for 65 years. Jim was enriching his faith by practicing to be a Carmelite. He enjoyed traveling; some of his favorite places were in Italy. Jim and Maureen always went to spring training for the Philadelphia Phillies and had many fun beach trips with their family. He was a kind, compassionate, and humble man who will be greatly missed by all. Jim is survived by his daughter-in-law, Sherry (Sinistri) Fellin, of Temple, his grandchildren, Lauren Fellin, wife of Nate Blizniak of Ontelaunee, Gabriel Fellin, of Stewartsville, NJ, and Dana Fellin, of Temple, his great grandson, Nathan Blizniak Jr., many nieces and nephews, and his best bud/therapy dog, Rocky. In addition to his wife, Maureen, Jim is preceded in death by his son and pride and joy, Gabriel “Gabe” Fellin. Also, his siblings, John Holland, Gabriel Fellin, Esther Fellin Kostic, Josephine Holland Gundry, Marion Holland Gallagher, Grace Holland, and Clara Fellin Winters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 11:00 am in Holy Guardian Angels, 3121 Kutztown Road, Reading, PA 19605. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 8:30 am to 10:30 am in Bean Funeral Homes, 1605 Rockland Street, Hampden Heights.
