The Life of LUCIA PELLEGRINI

Lucia "Lucy" Pellegrini, 89 of Blandon, formerly of Temple, passed away on Sunday, April 30, in her residence at the Villa at Fleetwood. Lucia was married to Angiolino "Angelo" Pellegrini, who passed away in August 2004. Born in Cesoli, Italy, Lucia was the daughter of the late Giulio Iacobacci and Adelina (Ceroni) Iacobacci. Lucia was a Master Seamstress having worked in boutique stores such as Joseph's and the Marilyn Shop in downtown Reading. Lucia, along with her husband, built a mushroom farm business in Muhlenberg Township where she grew a garden of vegetables and flowers. Lucia loved gardening and nurtured flowers, in particular roses, around her home. Lucia was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park where she spearheaded charitable events including many spaghetti suppers. She was also an active member of the Saint Marco's Club in Temple where she worked and advocated for the Italian Heritage as an employee and volunteer for the annual Italian Festival. Lucia is survived by her children, Imelda Del Vecchio, Julio Pellegrini and his wife Christine, Marisa Stoltzfus and her husband Barry, and Dennis Pellegrini and his wife Margaret. Lucia joins her son-in-law and Imelda's departed husband, Laurence Del Vecchio, in heaven. There are 6 grandchildren: Gina Del Vecchio, Anthony Del Vecchio, Julian Pellegrini, Joseph Pellegrini, Michael Stoltzfus and Nicole Stoltzfus. Lucia has one great-grandchild, Stella Del Vecchio, daughter of Gina Del Vecchio. She is also survived by her brother Antonino Iacobacci and his wife Filomena, Cesoli, Italy. Lucia was predeceased by her sister, Jovina Del Gizzi and her husband, Luigi Del Gizzi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 6, at 10 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum. A viewing will precede the service on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, Temple. Lucia loved flowers and cared for a beautiful garden around her home.
