The Life of THOMAS W HISCOCKS

Thomas Hiscocks, age 77, passed away peacefully at his home on August 26, 2023 with his wife Jan at his side.  Tom is lovingly remembered by his wife of nearly 55 years Jan, son Paul (wife Leslie), son Yale (wife Melanie) grandchildren Ethan, Sam, Zachary, Peyton and Gillian.

Tom was proceeded in death by his parents Bill and Bernice Hiscocks.

Tom graduated from North High School in Des Moines class of 1964.  He attended Simpson College for one year before enlisting in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.  After serving four years in the Marines he went back to college, graduating from Drake University with a degree in accounting.  This degree helped him get his job at the Iowa Department of Revenue, from which he retired.

The family wants to thank Sun Crest Hospice and Infinity Home Care for the loving care he received.

Per Tom’s wishes no funeral service is planned.  Private burial of his cremains will take place at Highland Memory Gardens at a later date.
