The Life of David F. Murphy

David Francis Murphy, known to his loved ones as Murph, passed away on August 26, 2023, at the age of 90 in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. Born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, he was a dedicated employee of the PA Department of Transportation throughout his career.

Murph's commitment to his work as a mechanic for PennDOT was evident to all who knew him. He had a strong work ethic and kept those salt trucks rolling. Murph enjoyed music and was a talented drummer.

He was a beloved family member and friend. Murph was also a dedicated Phillies and Eagles sports fan as well as a Yorkshire Terrier breed enthusiast. He will be deeply missed by his relatives and all who knew him. We will forever cherish the memories we shared with him. Murph was predeceased by his wife Eileen and step-daughter Jeanette. He is survived by his step-children, Michelle (Fran) Harkins, Patricia (Frank) Bonnes, Frank Minio, Annette Minio Riegel, and several grandchildren.

The family will gather to pay their respects privately. During this difficult time, our family appreciates the offers of condolences. May the memories shared with him bring comfort in the days ahead to all who knew and loved him.
