Mary Alice Clark was born on October 4, 1933, in Lafayette and she was a lifelong resident of Acadiana. She was a native of Lafayette, graduating from Lafayette High School and Southwestern Louisiana Institute (now UL Lafayette). Mary eventually obtained her Master’s Degree and spent most of her career as a teacher of English and French. Her love of travel started with a scholarship to France while an undergraduate, and she later traveled all over the world, residing in Scotland, Belgium, and Indonesia. Mary became an avid gardener and spent many happy hours tending her yard. Her friends will remember her as a strong woman with a dry wit and generous spirit. Mary will be dearly missed.

The family wishes to offer a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Pelican Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation who were so kind and took such wonderful care of Mary and her family during her time of need.
