The Life of VITTORIA B. ELIA

Vittoria (Bartone) Elia, 92, formerly of Muhlenberg Twp., died October 2, 2017, in her daughter's New York residence.

Her husband, Vincenzo S. Elia, died March 19, 2006.

Born in Sersale, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Domenico Antonio and Maria Concetta (Valente) Bartone.

Vittoria was a gifted seamstress; she spent over 25 years working for H.R. Oritsky's. Her grandchildren were the lucky beneficiaries of "Nonna pj's."

Vittoria's true love was her family. She enjoyed nothing more than cooking a big pasta dinner, playing cards and spending time with the ones she loved. "Nonna's" pizzelles, pastina and rice balls are legendary.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Vittoria is survived by three daughters: Dr. Josephine

Elia, wife to Dr. Paul Ambrosini; M. Concetta Pereira, wife to J. Maxwell Pereira; and Annette Elia Vail, wife to James J. Fromuth. Vittoria leaves behind seven grandchildren: Marcella Pereira, wife to Jason Stabile; Micheal Pereira, husband to Azure Wheeler; Alex Ambrosini; and Erin and Shannon Vail. Vittoria was also blessed to have two great- grandchildren, Elodie and Soren Stabile. Vittoria is also survived by two brothers, Antonio Bartone and Fortunato Bartone.

She was predeceased by three brothers: Gaetano

Bartone, Giovanni Bartone and Francesco Bartone.

Vittoria is survived by her brother-in-law, Ralph Elia, husband to Josephine Elia; and two sisters-in-law, Teresa Lupia, wife of Joseph Lupia, and Caterina Gigliotti, wife to Vincent Gigliotti. There are many nieces and nephews whom Zia Vittoria loved dearly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday,

October 6, 2017, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's RCC, 1018 N. 8th St., Reading.

Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum.
