The Life of Deborah Mary Clarke

On March 10, our beloved sister, Deborah Mary Clarke, died following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born May 3,1949 in Teaneck, New Jersey to Helen and Robert Clarke, Deb was the oldest of the seven Clarke children. The family moved to Fairfield in 1956 and Debbie graduated from Fairfield's Roger Ludlowe High School in 1967. She also attended the Miramar School for Girls in Newport, Rhode Island.
After many years working in the hospitality industry, Deb joined the family business in 1982, then known as Market Channels, as an account manager for several large warehousing clients. She continued with Clarke Brothers until her retirement in 2019.
Deb was a kind and generous soul who cared deeply about family and friends. She never missed sending a birthday card to each of her 18 nephews and nieces, and loved family holiday gatherings at the beach house in Milford. She enjoyed the simple things in life, like listening to music, taking photos, reading, and walking her beloved dog, Kobi. After years of living in Bridgeport, she moved to Milford in 2017, where she made many friends.
She was surrounded by family when she passed away. Debbie leaves behind her brother John and his wife Kim of Cheshire who devotedly managed her healthcare for many years, sister Cathy of Fairfield, brothers Peter and wife Carol of Dallas, Texas, Robert and wife Katina of Newtown, Timothy and wife Mary Kate of Fairfield, Christopher and wife Joan of New Rochelle, New York, along with 18 nephews and nieces.
Services are private. Debbie will rest in peace alongside our mother, Helen, and father, Bob, at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield, Connecticut.
