The Life of Bertha Marie Baudoin
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM for Bertha Marie Gatte Baudoin on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Martin & Castille's La Fleur de Lis Chapel, 600 E. Farrel Rd. Lafayette, LA. Bertha was 80 when she went home to see her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Our Lady of Lourdes Heart Hospital in Lafayette.
The family requests that visitation be observed on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 9:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM.
Interment will be held in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.
Reverend Scott Cormier, Pastor of The Pentecostals of Broussard will officiate at the services.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her two sons, Damon Paul Baudoin and his wife, Tara, and Dwayne Shawn Baudoin and his wife, Kimberly; her sisters, Shirley Jean Gatte, and Wanda Faye Boulet; her grandchildren, Dylan Michael Romero, Joshua Paul Baudoin, Kylan Shawn Baudoin, Brooke Lynne Baudoin, Adelyn Michelle Baudoin, Gavin Shea Barksdale, and Alexis Brianne Barksdale, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Manning Baudoin; her parents, Ruby Ada LeBlanc Gatte and Wilbert Joseph Gatte, Sr.; her brothers, Danny Gatte and Wilbert Joseph Gatte, Jr.; paternal and maternal grandparents, and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Bertha was born on November 20, 1942 to the late Wilbert Joseph Gatte, Sr. and Ruby Ada LeBlanc Gatte of Sulphur. She was a graduate of Sulphur High School in 1963, and married her sweetheart, Paul Manning Baudoin on June 22, 1968. Bertha was a member of Landmark of Lafayette. She was a very caring mother, daughter, wife, grandmother, mother in law, sister and friend to all that knew her. She will be sadly missed. My heart will ache for your tender embracement, until we meet again.
Upholding the honor of pallbearers will be Damon Paul Baudoin, Dwayne Shawn Baudoin, Dylan Michael Romero, Joshua Paul Baudoin and Kylan Shawn Baudoin.
