The Life of MARTIN JOSEPH LYSAKOWSKI

Martin Joseph (Joe) Lysakowski died of natural causes on February 21, 2023, in Reading Hospital. He was born October 18, 1962, in Reading, PA. He is survived by his mother, Linda Lysakowski of Boulder City, NV; and four siblings, Patricia Lysakowski Downing, wife of Thomas Downing, of Napa, CA; Victoria Lysakowski McIlwaine of Rio Vista, CA; John Lysakowski, of Raytown, MO; and Matthew Lysakowski, husband of Kathryn Spang, of Alexandria, VA. He was pre-deceased by his father, Martin A. Lysakowski, and a brother Stephen Michael Lysakowski. He had nine nieces and nephews, fourteen great nieces and nephews, and one great-great nephew. Prior to his hospitalization, Joseph resided in a group home run by Threshold Rehabilitation Services, Reading, PA. His prior employment included Threshold Rehabilitation Services, Prospectus Berco, and Redco. He was a Boy Scout, a Special Olympian, and a member of Knights of Columbus, Council 793 in Reading, PA. He was a member of the former St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Reading, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 10:00 am in St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, 2600 St. Albans Drive, Reading, PA 19609. A visitation with eulogy will start at 9:30 am. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery. There will also be a Memorial Mass held on March 23, 2023 at 10:30 am in St. Andrew Catholic Community, in Boulder City, NV. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Threshold Rehabilitation Services, 1000 Lancaster Ave., Reading, PA 19607 or to Special Olympics.
