The Life of Margaret Theresa Deise

Margaret worked for the Baltimore County Police Department as a Crossing Guard for 57 years until she was 89 years young making her the longest years of service employee. The only reason she stopped working then was due to Covid that closed down the schools. Margaret crossed 3 generations of children and loved every one of them like her own.

Born July 3,1931 in Baltimore, MD, to Marie (Rose) and William Thelen, Margie was the middle of 7 children, growing up in Canton.

Devoted mother of Charles Melvin Goetz, wife Diane and Philip James Goetz Sr, wife Valeri. Grandmother to 3 Grandchildren Amie Kimmel (Goetz), husband Ken, Katie Keener (Goetz), husband Don and Philip J Goetz, Jr, wife Angela. Survived by 8 Great Grand Children Jenna, Carly, Aubrey, Dillion, Ella, Charlie, Mia and Zuri.

Loving sister to the late William Thelen, Lizzy Hensler, Marie Rappold, Joan Hagerty, survived by Jenny Zellers and Raymond Thelen and wife Rae.

 

Her 1st husband Charles William Goetz died suddenly at the age of 32 leaving Margie to raise 2 young boys.

 

Funeral services to be held at the Mountain Christian Church, 1824 Mountain Road, Joppa, MD on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 11 am with inturnment to follow at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, Dundalk, MD.
