The Life of Jane P Opie

Jane Phyllis Opie age 86 of Betterton Maryland, passed away on January 9, 2023 at her daughter's home in Sharon Hill.

Born in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia, Jane was a longtime resident of Collingdale and Clifton Heights.  She graduated in 1954 from Murrell Dobbins Vocational Technical School.

Jane worked for the Teamsters Local #107 as a secretary for 22 years before retiring. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Anthony Gronkowski VFW Post 2071 Franklinville, N.J. 

She loved her 3 children, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, music, golf and ice skating.

She was the daughter of the late Edna and Webster H. Opie.

Survivors: Loving mother of William (Lisa) Maitland of Pittsgrove, N.J., Valerie Maitland of Betterton, MD and Kim (Bill) Brown of Sharon Hill, PA., cherished grandmother of Erica, Georgia and William Maitland and Sara and Samantha Brown, great grandmother of Oliver, Eloise and Ryan.

Service and Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
