1941-2023

 

Of Turtle Creek, formerly of Lawrenceville, age 81, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, January 16, 2023.

Born the daughter of the late Ted Organist and the late Betty (Broderick) Organist.
Beloved wife of the late Charles T. Lewandowski.

Loving mother of Charles T. (Diane) Lewandowski, Jr., Lori (Henry) Schultz, Jill Lewandowski, Thomas Lewandowski, Judy (Gary) Kunkel, and Janet (John) Estocin.

Treasured grandmother of Dr. Charles Lewandowski, Ph.D., Christopher (Britnee) Lewandowski; Justin (Tiffany) Schultz and Marissa Schultz; Brooke, Paige and Christian Lewandowski; Olivia and Abby Kunkel; Michael and Erin Estocin.

Proud great-grandmother of Lydia and Lilly Schultz and Niko Lewandowski. 

Adored sister of Linda Organist.  Niece of Dolly Broderick.  Sister-in-law and dear friend of Mary Lewandowski.

Also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Judy was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and enjoyed watching the PGA Tour, following her favorite player, Tiger Woods.  She was a devout Catholic who found comfort in praying the rosary often and was longtime member of St. Colman Church in Turtle Creek.  Judy was a proud 20-year survivor of breast cancer.  Most of all, Judy enjoyed spending time with her loving family.

Friends are welcome Sunday from 1-7 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Colman Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish.

Judy will be laid to rest in Allegheny Cemetery.
