The Life of David C. Gniewosz, Sr.
Obituary - David C. Gniewosz, 60, lifetime resident of Drexel Hill, Pa, died suddenly January 16, 2023 at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. A 1980 graduate of Upper Darby High School, David worked as a refinery operator for Energy Transfer (formerly Sun Oil Marcus Hook). He was a Life Member and former officer of the Garrettford Drexel Hill Fire Co. An avid Philadelphia sports fan in particular the Eagles and Phillies. David also enjoyed NASCAR and golf.
He especially enjoyed playing with his grandsons Ryan, Elias and Theodore. He felt a deep friendship with his co-workers and love for his Dobermans.
He will best be remembered as loving husband, dad and Pop-Pop who always put his family first.
Survivors: include his wife of 37 years, Eileen (nee Walsh), children, David C. Gniewosz, Jr., Tyler (Jessica) Gniewosz, Kaitlyn M. Gniewosz (fiancé Tyler Weston), Grandchildren, Ryan, Elias & Theodore and brother Dennis (Vanessa).
Service: Memorial Service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington
Visitation: 9:30 am to 11:00 Wednesday at the Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington
Interment: SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Marple, PA 19064

My Friend David
I had worked with David for the last 7 years and always admired his professionalism. David was a great coworker, friend, and a devoted family man. I will miss my friend David and am a better person for having known him. My deepest sympathies to his family.
